Costume Quest 2 Launching Today on PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®4 System Platforms

Sweet Sequel Makes its Sony Debut at Only $14.99; Sony Exclusive Sackboy Content Coming Soon as a Free Update

October 28, 2014 – Oakland, CACostume Quest 2 arrives today on PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system platforms. Sony fans can pick up either version for just $14.99 and both come with a free post-launch content update featuring the one and only Sackboy!

Costume Quest 2 is the sequel to the Halloween hit Costume Quest and features all the humor, style and wit of the original with all new outfits, a brand new story and time travel! Team up with trick or treating twins Wren and Reynold as they set out to save October’s most hallowed day from Dr. Orel White DDS, a misunderstood dentist bent on a world free of cavities, candy and Halloween. Track the Dentist and his Time Wizard cohort through three expansive timescapes and get things back to normal! The Sony exclusive Sackboy costume will be a special item found in-game via a dedicated quest. This content update will go live shortly after launch; more details and release date to follow.

Double Fine’s spooktacular RPG returns with a host of new features to satisfy even the most tenacious trick or treaters. The updated combat system brings streamlined battles with new candy counter attacks for more strategic bouts. New Creepy Treat Cards offer special abilities, both offensive and defensive, during battle but be aware of the cool down period for each. Party health is now persistent between battles so be sure to replenish health at one of the many water fountains sprinkled throughout the levels. While checkpoints are plentiful to keep the action moving, players can equip the Candy Corn costume to add a little more challenge to their quest. (And get a super sweet trophy, to boot!) Did we mention wheelies all the time? Get there faster with wheelies!

Costume Quest 2 is rated E10+ and will be available today on PlayStation®3 & PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system platforms at only $14.99 through the PlayStation®Network in North America. News on release dates for other territories and console versions are forthcoming; please stay tuned to
