SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — (Marketwired) — 01/19/16 — Majesco Entertainment Company (NASDAQ: COOL) (the “Company”), a provider of downloadable games for the mass market, announced today the release of Gone Home: Console Edition for PlayStation 4 & Xbox One and A Boy and His Blob for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, and PC.

Gone Home, the winner of more than fifty “end of year” awards, including Polygon’s Game of the Year and IGN Entertainment’s PC Game of the Year in 2013, was a landmark independent title that helped to redefine interactive narrative experiences. Two years after its initial release on PC, Majesco is re-releasing Gone Home in a console edition to reach a wider audience. The acclaimed developer of the game, The Fullbright Company, has upgraded the game from Unity 4 to the Unity 5 engine for a PC-perfect conversion, along with 90 minutes of behind-the-scenes developer commentary giving extra insight into the game’s creation.

A Boy and His Blob is a re-release of the 2009 game, making it available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One and PC (it was previously only available on the Nintendo Wii.) Now rendered at 1080p and 60 frames per second, players can experience the adventure of the boy and his blob as they travel through 40 levels from Earth to Blobolonia.

Barry Honig, Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Majesco, commented: “We are excited about releasing Gone Home and A Boy and His Blob to a larger audience with updated versions now available across additional formats. We have been eagerly anticipating these new launches as we hope to expand upon the previous success of these award winning titles.”
